Do you love the arts and want to make a difference in your community? Youth can use the artistic activities they enjoy to #LeadASAP through an Awareness, Service, Advocacy or Philanthropy (ASAP) project. Tapestry Collection by Hilton™ and Youth Service America are partnering, through the #LeadASAP Tapestry Collection Spark the Arts Program, to activate youth to organize projects that improve neighborhoods around new Tapestry Collection locations through art.

#LeadASAP Tapestry Collection Spark the Arts grants of $500 will be awarded to up to 10 youth, schools, youth development/afterschool programs, and community-based organizations in the Richmond, Virginia area to support youth-led projects that activate volunteers ages 12-25. Projects will take place in the Spring of 2018.

Proposed projects should use the arts (music, painting, drawing, writing, dance/movement, graphic design, drama/theater, photography, film-making, comedy, fashion design, etc.) to address a cause in the community (poverty, hunger, health and well-being, education, equality, safety, climate change, environment, peace, etc.) by educating others, volunteering, advocating, or fundraising.

Select grantees will have a chance to be recognized by Tapestry Collection and Youth Service America at an event at Virginia Crossings Hotel, Tapestry Collection by Hilton in Glen Allen. The application deadline is January 31, 2018.
